Kid's Charity of Tampa Bay

KidsKids Charity of Tampa Bay, Inc. is a non-profit organization of concerned individuals whose mission is to improve the quality of life for foster children and foster families. After many years involved in several areas of direct service for children that have been abused, neglected, or abandoned, this group of community leaders that an organization was needed that could focus on areas of service that are less directly funded by the state or federal government, yet still provided a viable service in areas of critical need and life improvement. Raising funds and developing resources, both in-kind and monetary, that directly affects these critical areas of need is the primary focus of Kids Charity of Tampa Bay, Inc.

Funds raised by Kids Charity of Tampa Bay will go towards building a 48 bed emergency assessment shelter; provide emergency financial support to foster families and children in crisis, or support child service programs designed to enhance foster childrenís opportunities for success, improve their education, personal skill development, living conditions, and fulfill their individual wishes.

In addition, Kids Charity of Tampa Bay will collect and appeal for school supplies, Holiday and special occasion gifts for all foster children in our service area.

Kids Charity of Tampa Bay is not limited to, but will provide support for such organizations as:

  • Friends of Joshua House Foundation, Inc.
  • Childrenís Home Society of Florida, Inc.
  • Guardian Ad Litem
  • The Spring of Tampa Bay, Inc.
  • Metropolitan Ministries, Inc.
  • Raising Hope
  • Safe Childrenís Coalition of Pasco & Pinellas Counties

 

Development of public support is done solely through the volunteers, the Board of Directors and private support. No governmental funds or United Way funds are received. Fundraisers are in the form of events that are open to the public or through exclusive invitation, such as themed dinners, fashion shows, and other exciting events in the future.
