Pencils We have all seen the exhausting list of school supplies that a child is supposed to have at the beginning of each school year. Thousands of children in the Tampa Bay area begin their school year in August. However, unlike most children, foster kids do not have the supplies they need when they are brought in to the Child Protection System.

There are more than 6,000 foster children in the Tampa Bay area without a family to support them and help them through their childhood. These children are placed in homes that may not have the funds to purchase these essentials for gaining an education. Kids Charity of Tampa Bay Inc. is collecting school supplies to be delivered to foster kids throughout the Tampa Bay area. Our goal is to provide each school age child with the necessary items to help them gain an education and feel good about doing it. These kids need everything from pencils to backpacks.
